I have come to the end of my road as an MYF. As they call it, EX-youth, EX-officio o kaya naman EXtra (sa mga gawain, meetings at sa kung saan-saan pa..hehe).
Pero looking back, all I wanted was to attend C.I. every year. Pero God has a different plan, which as if He’s asking me, “Anak, will you be part of my activity for the MYF or will I find somenone else?” Yabang ko pa nung sinagot ko Siya, “Lord, Iba na lang…”
Some of us might have encountered the same EXperience as mine. But I learned that if no one were willing to serve the Lord, He would still accomplish His work by his own divine power. WE ARE NOT IRREPLACEABLE TO THE LORD.
Service to the Lord is an honor God bestows on us, not a favor we do for God. Obviously what happened next was the greatest EXperience that even up to now I can’t imagine how I could have survived without His grace.
Being the “madam” (as how the EXecom call a woman district president – at least only to me…hehe) has been very challenging; lot of decisions to make, several meetings to attend, different attitudes to deal with, many activities/project to manage, though there were many blessings received. The spaces may not be enough kung ikukwento ko sa inyo, but the point is It’s not about me, IT IS ALL HIS POWER AND GRACE.
According to the Bible (Isaiah 59:16/Ezek 22:30), God is not necessarily looking for leaders, he is looking for servants. This may be the end of the road for me as an MYF, but it isn’t the end of my being a servant of the ministry.
To those who have been called to serve God in whatever ways, I pray that you will accept the challenge to be that man or woman God is seeking to use and EXperience the incredible joy and satisfaction of knowing God using your life as His instrument to build His kingdom.
Burn for Jesus! and Live Excellently for Him!
Despite their church’s inclusion to East Bulacan District last June, Ate Frisianne is still involved in the planning and execution of the activities of SBD-UMYF as one of its ex-officios.
