My hometown of Taytay, Rizal rests at the foothills of Antipolo. Geographically, this town is a basin that drinks in all the flood waters of neighboring towns. Houses along areas with the most flooding are built 4-6 feet higher than the streets making them look like mini castles standing on very stable foundations.
